Dr. Derelyne Gandia O.D. graduated from UC-Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and received her Doctorate in Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. She has specialized clinical experiences in optometric vision therapy, pediatric exams, ocular disease and diabetic management. Optometric opportunities kept her on the mainland to enjoy such places as Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Diego and Santa Cruz, California.
Dr. Gandia has been practicing Optometry on Kauai since late 2007, and in Fall of 2010, opened the doors to Garden Island Eye Care, Inc., located in Park Plaza II in Lihue. Dr. Gandia provides excellent and thorough care and appropriate recommendations with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Mandi Lockwood is our optical and insurance specialist. She is also the backbone of our business. Mandi has been a part of the eye care profession for over 20 years on Kauai. She has exemplary customer service, providing you with information on new and improved products and styles. She is organized, efficient, and able to answer any of your eye care needs. Mandi is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and most Friday.
